we would like to bring your attention to the issue of "elder abuse" and the course of action that can be taken to bring help to the situation...In our community there are many agencies in place that respond to the urgent needs of the elderly who are living in abusive environments.

You will be directed to the social services and private agencies who can help as well as educate the public on the issues affecting the elderly, such as elder abuse, domestic violence, neglect, fraud, and exploitation. Google has implemented a new feature which enables you to type a telephone number into the search bar, hit enter, and you will be given the person’s name and address. If you then hit MapQuest, you will get a map to the person’s house! Everyone should be aware of this. It’s a nationwide reverse telephone book and not the only one of its kind.

If a child gives out their phone number, someone can look it up to find out where they live. The safety issues are obvious and alarming.

In order to test whether your phone number is mapped go to www.google.com. Type your phone number in the search bar (i.e. 555-555-1212) and hit enter. If you want to block Google from divulging your private information, simply click on your telephone number and then click on the Removal Form. It takes approximately 48 hours to process the request.
