programs | awareness development

The KLCRC Awareness Development Program helps individuals surface their hidden or subconscious beliefs so that they are not only aware of them, but can challenge and, if necessary, replace them with beliefs that better serve in creating the life they long for.

Module 1 – Self Esteem - Even the most wonderful families are not perfect. Therefore, wherever and whenever we are not met and embraced with messages that empower our personal worth and value we take in the message that we are worthless. As children, that is how tuned in and fragile we are. Trauma, abuse of all kinds, injury, broken relationships and simply living in a dysfunctional world system impacts our ability to walk in healthy relationship with our self. Our self-esteem began developing early in our lives as we were absorbing the esteem our parents had for us, and continued to be affected as we matured, by the people in our lives. It would be an amazing feat to come through all of that with the full understanding of how incredibly valuable we are. In this module we will stir memories of our past for the purpose of opening our hearts to the truth of our intrinsic worth, and use God’s Word to assign that worth. (Psalm 139; Genesis 1)

Module 2 – Boundaries - The ability to have healthy boundaries is one of the most essential capacities we can possess. Learning to live a life with healthy personal boundaries equips us to love unconditionally. This class helps the student identify their present condition and enable them to construct healthy boundaries. Three boundary systems are taught: Physical/External Boundaries address issues of distance and touch. Sexual/External Boundaries enable people to set limits in their sexual lives, (this is so essential in our over-sexualized society), and Internal Boundaries teach students how to set limits and be themselves around their own thinking, feeling, and behavioral realities. All in all this is a very empowering work.

Module 3 – Reality - In this module the idea of becoming aware takes on a whole new meaning as we discover that our reality is often skewed and how it got that way in the first place. We will come to terms with human imperfection, defense mechanisms, self-acceptance, forgiveness, and the operation and function of our body, soul, and spirit. Be prepared to reach a new level of awareness about yourself, the significant people in your life, your past, and the world around you.

Module 4 – Dependence (Needs & Wants) - In this module we will look at how our needs and wants were addressed while we were dependent upon others and the impact that has on us as adults. If our needs and wants went largely unmet, we may be experiencing fear, frustration, and emptiness in our interaction with others. By addressing this topic openly and honestly we can find ways to trust others again, to communicate our needs and wants effectively, and to learn how healthy interdependent relationships work.
